The Sr. Network Engineer is responsible for managing all aspects of the LAN/WAN infrastructure in 5 data centers in the US and Europe, and ensuring the infrastructure maintains the customer SLA at all times.
The position will be based in Santa Clara and report to the Senior Director of Technical Operations.
Technical Knowledge and Responsibilities include:
- Experience managing 24x7 multi site (including International) data networks.
- Must have deep technical knowledge and experience with F5, CISCO ACE,large complex spanning tree environments and meshed MPLS networks
- Track record in developing and deploying engineering standards across multiple Network Product environment.
- Proven record in designing and maintaining 99.999 % SLA networks.
- Strong technical ability to troubleshoot and solve highly complex IP networks and hardware problems.
- Provides expert technical support and guidance on highly complex design issues to customers.
- Must possess a team player spirit.
- Strong oral and written communication skills required.
- CCIE & CISSP certifications desirable
Qualification
- Degree in computer science, management information systems, engineering, mathematics or related field preferred
- Ten or more years of network engineering experience
