Job Description:A leading provider of automated trading and workflow solutions for foreign exchange and treasury products is seeking a Marketing Communications Specialist. Report to the Senior Dir. of Marketing Communications. You should be an experienced marketing professional familiar with the foreign exchange market. Manage external corporate communications and public relations. Draft press releases and external communications. Manage award and survey publicity and client outreach strategy. Develop article concepts, write white papers and edit sponsored publications. Maintain relationships with media contacts. Draft speeches and talking points for sales and senior management. Coordinate media relations with corporate social media strategy programs. Evaluate creating a company blog. Develop marketing collateral and sales support materials. Write and produce print and electronic materials, including brochures, product sheets, case studies, internal sell sheets, website descriptions. Create client-facing sales decks and internal presentations. Work with product specialists to promote new products. Create client email and direct mail communications. Develop webinars and product training programs. Create client segment and market-specific user group events and programs. Use Constant Contact email system and Salesforce to track marketing campaigns. Work with Project and Event Mgmt. Liaise with organizers, contractors and venues to manage logistics for external int'l events programs. Conceive and run client events (such as seminars, workshops, cocktail receptions or client dinners) that position the company as mkt. leaders. Liaise with adverting or creative agencies on design, website or interactive projects. Conduct ongoing reviews of competitor positioning vs. product capabilities. Conduct market research to gather business intelligence. Work with external industry analysts and consultants to identify new business opportunities. Disseminate internal company marketing updates. Qualifications:
- A 4 year Degree (ideal background will be in English, Journalism, Finance, or Communications)
- An MBA or Masters Degree is desired
- 10-15 years of relevant experience or equivalent
- Strong familiarity with institutional financial services (solid understanding of foreign exchange, trading technology, and OTC derivatives is preferred)
- Must be a self-starter that is comfortable working in a fast-paced and demanding entrepreneurial environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and hands-on approach to learning about products with an innate understanding of business communications
- Strong project management and execution skills
- Thorough follow-through and attention to detail
- Comfortable managing multiple project priorities
- Ability to work with new technologies including social media and develop diagrams or explain technology workflows for external and internal materials and communications
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to develop clear messages that promote and differentiate the company's expertise
- Proficiency with Windows and MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) is required
- Knowledge of the B2B financial marketplace, conference companies, and trade publications and advantage
- Strong proofreading skills and comfort using and writing about technology
- Ability to create comprehensive product and presentation summaries (capture screen shots and describe benefits)
- Public relations experience writing press releases
- Familiarity designing sales presentations and conducting market research
This position pays 150000.00-175000.00 annually
