Patient Account Representative - Patient Intake

  • Processes patient information for pre-admission and completes insurance verification.
  • Reviews all patient accounts for full insurance coverage.
  • Responsible for timely and accurate billing: EMC, paper, secondary and rebilling.
  • Prepares and sends patient statements.
  • Follows all delinquent third party and self-pay accounts maintaining clear records of follow-up activity.
  • Responds promptly to all third party and patient inquiries including telephone calls and written correspondence.
  • Completes Indigent Waiver and submit for approval and processing.
  • Recommends accounts for bad debt write-off or for collection referral and submit to Senior Patient Account Representative.
  • Performs other duties as may be required.
